Credentialing Course Structure

  • 12 weeks of guided learning with joint classrooms, small-size discussion, and cross-industry learning.

  • Flipped-classroom model: students complete self-paced content on their own schedule, then meet for live webinar discussions to apply it together.

  • Six self-paced modules, completed before their matching live sessions.

  • Six live classroom webinars, 2 hours each (attendance at ALL live classroom webinars is required).

  • Community forum, colleague connection opportunities, and weekly OfficeHours throughout.

  • Tuition: $825 USD.

For credentialed and non-credentialed veterinary technicians.

Certification, renewable every 2 years.

Learning focus

  • ECS science basics

  • Clinical applications and pharmaceutical interactions

  • Support of veterinary clinicians in clinic environments

  • Harm reduction education principles

  • Product safety evaluation principles

  • Interaction with manufacturers and regulators

Graduation requirements

  • Complete the self-paced content before webinars

  • Participate in the community forum and student discussion groups

  • Attend and participate in the 6 live classroom webinars

  • Pass the written exam and the product-safety / clinical-application evaluation

  • Review and pass 6 clinical case studies

  • Present and pass 1 case presentation at Grand Rounds

Continuing Education / Renewal requirements - Learn more about renewal requirements.

  • Hours: 8 hours of continuing education every 2 years.

  • Renewal fee: $45 USD, charged upon renewal submission.

For non-medical or non-veterinary professionals.

Certification, no renewal required.
