Continuing Education & Renewal Requirements (VCCounselors only)
  • VCCounselor (VCC) certifications are valid for two years after the date of graduation.  
  • Eight hours of continuing education (CE) are required for renewal. 
  • A $45 renewal fee is required with submission
Renewal is required for VCCs only - there is no CE requirement for VCGuide (VCG) certification or cannabis-knowledgeable veterinarians.
Veterinary Cannabis Counselor (VCC) | credentialed & non-credentialed veterinary technicians
CE requirements may be met by any of the following:
  1. Veterinary or human-based course or lecture on cannabis medicine or clinical cannabis applications.
  2. Recorded / Self-Paced education course or lecture offered by Veterinary Cannabis or one of our global partners.  View courses here.
  3. Live / Interactive case review, Grand Round sessions, clinician office hours, or topic-specific discussions. View calendar here.
