The Veterinary Cannabis Certification course provides participants with medically-based information about the endocannabinoid system (ECS) in mammals, the safe and scientific use of cannabis in veterinary patients, and guidance on interacting with other veterinary care team members and cannabis manufacturers and industry leaders. |
- This program provides a VCCounselor (VCC) or a VCGuide (VCG) certification to non-veterinarian professionals. See below for certification details.
- Veterinarians are eligible to attend our clinician-specific track for their professional development and continuing education but are not awarded additional credentials.
The Functional Flipped-Classroom Model
This course is designed as a joint learning environment for both medical and non-medical veterinary professionals spanning the range of technical support staff, veterinary clinicians, and industry . Both medical and non-medical students learn together with content curated for their learning track and facilitated classroom webinars.
Our certification course prepares students to be mentally-agile and scientifically-critical in the rapidly evolving cannabis industry. The goal of this course is to empower graduates to apply their experiences and skillsets as strong advocates for animal patients within the emerging cannabis industry.
