Alena Rodriguez
BS, MS Alena Rodriguez received her B.S. in Biology and M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Florida Atlantic University.
Before joining the cannabis industry, Alena worked in molecular biology, analytical chemistry and neuroscience laboratories studying neurotoxins in the venom of marine cone snails and investigating metabolic pathways in flies and mice. |
Alena joined Rm3 Labs in January 2016 and spent her first two years testing microbial samples and developing contaminant testing methods as the Director of Microbiology. She has also served as the lab’s Quality Manager and led the lab’s efforts to become ISO 17025 accredited.
In her current position, Alena manages the RM3 lab’s daily operations and works with governmental agencies and stakeholders to advance cannabis regulations.
Alena is a panel member on several Colorado marijuana and hemp regulatory workgroups, the Vice Chair of NCIA’s Scientific Advisory Committee, and sits on ASTM’s D37 Cannabis Committee.
