Deciding to utilize a cannabis product (hemp or marijuana) for your animal can be a tricky decision. Whether your animal is a dog, cat, bird or elephant!...make sure you have information on product safety, potential drug interactions, and administration guidance to keep your animal safe and work toward their optimal health.
Cannabis Guidance, 3 months
Our direct to pet parent cannabis guidance program is designed to support animal caregivers as they explore the potential of cannabis medicine for their animal. Our goal is to provide safety information, research-backed efficacy data, and patient harm reduction guidance to both the animal caregiver and the patient's primary veterinary health care team.

Our goal is to provide safety information, research-backed efficacy data, and patient harm reduction guidance to both the animal caregiver and the patient's primary veterinary health care team.
Due to federal and state legal restrictions around cannabis and veterinarians, consultation sessions are always scheduled with a Veterinary Cannabis Counselor (VCC). Your VCC will review your animal's records, perform a video consultation with you to establish treatment goals, and provide guidance for monitoring treatment progression. Our Veterinary Cannabis Counselor will tailor this plan to your goals, your animal's current health, and products available in your geographic area. Your VCC will act as the intermediary between you, your primary veterinary health care team, and our cannabis-knowledgeable veterinarians and veterinary specialists.
Your VCC will remain your primary point of contact and provide guidance and coordination with your primary care veterinary team during this three-month period. Your VCC is able to consult with our cannabis-knowledgable veterinarians as needed throughout the 3 months of cannabis guidance -- which is often extremely beneficial for advanced or complicated cases! |
Our 3 month Cannabis Guidance program includes the following:
- Initial case evaluation: medical record review, current therapy/drug protocol review
- Cannabis product safety evaluation
- Cannabis administration plan guidance with DVM/Specialist oversight
- Treatment plan coordination with primary veterinary clinic team
Not sure which program is right for you and your animal? Ask us!
Speciality Guidance Programs - $447.00 / 3 months
Why is this consult more expensive? Patients with a complicated medical history frequently require a higher level of monitoring and detailed guidance by our VCCs. Additionally, this cost includes payment to our veterinary specialists for oversight of these cases.
