What is a VCC?
A Veterinary Cannabis Counselor (VCC) is a veterinary technician who has received training in utilizing their medical background to support the veterinarian and the clinic team in the rapidly developing veterinary cannabis industry.

- Provide pet parents with harm reduction education about cannabis
- Evaluate and provide guidance on animal-safe cannabis products
- Ensure the veterinary team is fully informed of how pet parents are utilizing cannabis in their pet
- Encourage appropriate monitoring & diagnostics

ReAnna Cornell LVT, VTS-Dentistry, VCC
ReAnna has always had a passion to help and work with animals.
Since her graduation from Wayne County Community College in 2005, ReAnna has worked in several areas of Veterinary Medicine including General Practice, Exotics, Emergency, and Specialty Referral Clinics such as Oncology and Dentistry. She obtained her Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Dentistry in 2016. In addition to her work in dentistry, ReAnna has experience with a wide variety of “pocket pets” and zoo animals, including bearded dragons, chinchillas, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds of all kinds, bats, elephants . . .
and the list goes on! . . . otters, wolves, bears, tigers, tree kangaroos, lemurs, a kudu . . . and a silver back gorilla! |
Kim Corrow BS, CVT, VCC
Kim graduated top of her class from Vermont Technical College in 2001. After a short time in general practice, she went on to work full-time in medical research, part-time in emergency and critical care and obtained her B.S on the side. She has spent the last 10 years of her career at a specialty referral clinic working in the oncology department.
Kim was awarded Vermont’s Vet Tech of the Year in 2019! Although she is a self-described science nerd, she has always felt her purpose is to be an advocate for her patients and their quality of life. |
